From our flagship bookstore on the island of Hydra, Greece —

We present and sell a thoroughly researched anthology of literary work by the community of Greek and international writers present on Hydra from the 1930s to the present, and we explore an annual theme through research, presentation of new literary work, readings and events.

We edit and publish the Journal of the Hydra Book Club, an annual printed edition of over 200 pages of fiction, poetry, essay, and image which includes contributions from prominent writers, artists, curators, critics, and philosophers.

We also publish literature, literature in translation, artist books, and limited edition artist zines. Look out for the newest member of the club - Glotta - an annual collection of thematic musings from the island.

The first literary work to be published by Hydra Book Club Editions - Sewer Lock , by Peter Thickett, will arrive in September 2025.
